At the completion of the D.A.R.E. program, students were asked to write an essay. Winners were chosen from each homeroom, and a top winner was also selected. Reid Waugh (left) was the overall winner of the D.A.R.E. essay contest and read his essay during the graduation ceremony. (From left) Hayden Shelton and Leah Loftis were also essay winners.
After 26 years of supporting the community, the D.A.R.E. program is coming to a close making this the final D.A.R.E. program graduation. Vasquez opted to commemorate the event with an extra prize.

Mason Bales, son of Ryan and Kristin Bales, and Kiera Yates, and granddaughter of Dennis and Rose McGrew, were the Plymouth Community Schools D.A.R.E. essay winners. Sierra Hawley, daughter Craig and Serena Hawley, was the Triton Community Schools D.A.R.E. essay winner.
